Right side of an Ortgies pocket pistol. The Ortgies pistol was designed
and initially produced by Heinrich Ortgies. Deutsche Werke purchased
the rights to the Ortgies pistol in 1921 and continued to produce
the Ortgies until the late 1920's. This specific pistol was produced
after Deutsche Werke took over production (note the manufacturer's
name and address on the slide). Also note the distinctive medallion
inset in the left grip walnut panel.9 |
