Mauser Pocket Pistol 1914

Left side of a Mauser Model 1914, in 7.65 Browning Short (.32 ACP). Note the barrel serial number placement, the Mauser name and address, and the Mauser banner on the frame.
Close up of the left side slide marking, and the Mauser banner on the frame.
Extreme close up of the Mauser banner.
Close up of the rear of the Model 1914 showing the serial number placement. The pin projecting from the center of the slide is rear of the striker, and indicates this pistol is cocked.
Close up of the top, rear, of the slide. This shows the rear sight; immediately behind the rear sight is the commercial proof mark; immediately in front of the rear sight is the Imperial Army acceptance stamp. While not standard issue in the German Imperial Army, the Model 1914 was acceptable as a substitute sidearm and those pistols so accepted will generally show a similar acceptance mark.

Close up of the acceptance mark. The contrast of this photo has been adjusted so the acceptance mark shows as against a black background.
