1920 Double-dated Lugers

Gallery of 1920 lugers

After loosing WWI Germany, under the Treaty of Versailles, had to mark all it's military equipment and the 1920 Marking was placed on many Lugers and other weapons. It is really not a date stamp but a property marking.
There are often another date (earlier) on the chamber of your Luger is the year it was made.
It's a very common marking, the Double Date or Doppel Jahr.
