The
1892 8mm french cartridge
The original loading of this cartridge was composed of a jacketed bullet of 7.90 grammes and of 0.73 grammes of black powder. This loading still gave a very unsufficient power. A second loading was created using the TBis powder (non smoke) with a 0.32 grammes load and a new bullet of 7.90 grammes with a flat nose. It still was considered as a weak load. To reload this caliber one good option is to trim down some 32-20 cases (the xxx....therefore needs to be slimmed down). Another solution is to use the Lynx (french product) specially designed cases or fiocchi cases. (You can Email me for more infos). Here's the reloading table (with french Vectan Powders)
